This blade will soon be offered for sale and therefore I thought it best to pose this question here. Spark, if I am incorrect, advise and this will be moved to the forum of your directive.

A friend of mine who is a LEO showed me a Mission "MPK" he has that has an OD (Olive Drab) Handle and matching Sheath. He wants to sell it and neither of us know what is it worth due to the following reasons:

1.) This knife was advised to him, by the dealer he purchased it from, to be "rare" because it was a "special run" of only 40, made exclusively for the United States Marine Corps. My friend advised he interviewed the owner of Mission Knives at the Shot Show who confirmed the dealers statement of its authenticity (Marine Corps Only) and rarity(number made). Can anyone here provide final confirmation of this fact?

2.) The blade and sheath have accessories to allow it to be carried in many ways, including scuba straps for maritime ops.

3.) The blade, and all of its accessories, is "new/unused" and still in the box. All of the accessories have never been mounted or removed from their plastic packaging inside the box. The blade has been extracted from the box for examination only.

If anyone might know more about this particular Mission Model and/or its worth, please advise.

Thanks!

Out.

Does the blade have a flase edge and serrations? Straight clip or clip turned down a little?

Email me if you can, I may haev extra input...Mission Knives was in off-books consulting about a run for USMC with a close friend of mine at the time we were shopping for a "system/ team" knife and the MPK A2 was a possible solution. I saw a sketch of the drawing as well as got briefed in on the conversation between my friend/ instructor, retired USMC h2h instructor, also the founder of Kakutao Ryu Jujitsu (registered as a subset of Minamato Ryu in Japan in case you care) and a SERIOUS student of the combat knife and its use, the pres of Mission Knives and a Colonel USMC who was interested in procuring this item as a test for possible issue, either generally or for special deployment.

The MPK in question may well be the product of that planning session, I can ask if you are interested.

Please email me with specs of this thing as well as a pic and we can try from there, though if this can be proven with factory documentation to be a run of 40 only for a bona fide USMC order, the value will be only $40 or so and you should sell me the knife. I will give you $50 just to make you feel better ;)

Seriously, email me about this and shoot me a scan, I can maybe help you out.
