Just got back from Knob Creek machinegun shoot. Picked up a Mission MPK Ti. As soon as I held it I was in lust. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the MPK? By the way the guy I bought from has an awesome collection of MPK prototypes.

Glad you enjoyed the shoot and the MPK, wish I could be there. The Guy with the MPK Proto's would be Wayne. Heck of nice guy and a pleasure to do business with.

Ken,
You are correct. Yes Wayne is a really nice guy and a Mission maniac. He has some really nice knives. I will be doing more business with him in the future. You should have been there today, heck of a crowd.

Hiya Bladewithnumberss!
I managed to scrounge up an MPK a few years back for about $250. The thing that blew me away about the knife is that when you pick it up it weighs hardly anything.
Reminds me of the Little Rascals when Spanky was playing strong man with black baloons. (If I have to explain more than that, I'll just shoot myself now)

Since ya asked for comments, there's two bits of info I picked up on the MPK.
1. If you really wanna keep it non-magnetic, get the special sharpener from Mission since other sharpeners may leave metal behind and transfer to your titanium blade.
2. The knife is a lot sharper than it seems. We all know what scary sharp is and apparantly titanium is at its sharpest about the time that other steel knives seem to need a sharpening. From what I've read however, the sharpness is misleading. The thing's alot sharper than it seems.
A brilliant firefighter friend held mine in his hand and stated that it was dull.... "Watch..." he says as he slices a half inch incision into the pad of his index finger.

Anyways, that's my two cents..... change is optional.

Vampire,
Thanks for the info. Especially about the edge because the thing really don't feel that sharp, not like steel. Interesting story about the firefighter, thats want the number is behind blade.
