Who here has a Mission Wallet? How do you like it?

How large of a knife would fit in the larger pocket? My Large Sebenza seems too big, and so does my BM 940. Do you think my Mini-AFCK would fit? What knife do you carry in your mission wallet?

Finally, if you were actually overseas (or in any foriegn country), which would you rather have: the SPEC-OPS T.H.E. Wallet or the Mission Wallet?

I got one a couple of weeks ago. I now carry it every day. A small sebenza or SAK tinker fit fine. I carry a Fisher bullet pen with mine although a small light like the ARC AAA will fit also. It met my needs.

I think the Mission Wallet is outrageously cool. But, keep in mind that every time you pull out your wallet, you'll be pulling out your knife as well. Makes me uncomfortable.

I've fully supported Jason Burns on this, his wallet project from the very beginning, going so far as contacting A.G. Russell directly on his behalf.

Jason has opted to use the fine folks at Bladeart as his distribution outlet instead, and though I personally think this may limit his overall market exposure, Jason seems to be happy with the arrangement.

On a side note, as some of his fellow supporter's may know, Jason is an American missionary in Nicaraugua, working diligently to improve the lot of those peoples. To that end, his primary focus is improving the lot of those that he ministers too, not in profit.

We've had contact on the possibility of my doing a review on his product for the new KnifeForums print magazine http://www.knifeforums.com/subscriptionspage.html but, unfortunately due to probable mail theft, I have yet to obtain a wallet for review. (To his credit, and at great personal cost, Jason has repeatedly paid for and sent the wallet's, they've just yet to arrive)

Jason, when you read this, be aware that I spoke with A.G. once again about your project, and he adamantly supports your missonary efforts. If his support by retailing your product in lieu of, or in combination with, a joint effort with Bladeart, would provide the funds needed to facilitate your efforts 'down south', I'm sure he'd do all he could help you out.

That said, I'm looking forward to conducting the review.

All the best,

Mel

It is an excellent product, I carry my surefire E2e and my small sebenza side by side, and I've got the small version!

I think the miniafck will fit fine, but since it is a tad longer than the small sebbie you'll have a little bit peeking out the top.

I actually carry a money clip for credit cards and cash. The wallet rides in my R front pocket as a concealed way to carry my toys (aka no clips hanging off me at work) and also serves to keep things orderly in the pockets.

I carry one daily and love it. I carry a Microtech Kestrel and a Fisher Bullet Pen. I keep meds in the zipper compartment and business cards in the slot.

I carry a small Sebenza and Fisher bullet pen in mine. Carrying it as a casual wallet in my front pocket, I can fit small change, all my necessary ID and other cards, and single-folded bills, and that doesn't even use the open pocket behind the knife and pen. Very well made of excellent materials.

T.H.E.Wallet is cavernous. I have no use for anything that large and I think it's just a temptation to keep too many items around. In fact, it isn't even a great place for folding money, because it falls out of that huge compartment and is hard to access in the smaller zipped compartment within that. I think it's an interesting idea for travel, though, since it would hold passport and tickets and larger foreign bills. But I'd probably carry it in a backpack for security and convenience.

I like the idea of a small compact innocuous wallet or clip for travel, so I'm not pulling out something tempting to attract the local thieves' attention. Hey, I'm a native Noo Yawkuh, we grow up watching who's watching us!

The first time I carried it, I had the same concern as Joe since I was carrying change in the zippered pocket. I started carrying my change in my left front pocket and the mission wallet in my right front. The mission wallet allows me to carry my knife and fisher pen (that I previously carried loose in my pocket) in a way that protects them a little and keeps them handy. It makes for a much more compact package. I ended up carrying meds in the zippered pouch.

Would you feel more comfortable carrying the Mission Wallet, or a simple money clip?

I've never been comfortable with money clips, and all they do is hold bills, anyway. I like having a secure but hidden place for a small knife and pen, and the fact that I can carry backup bills, change and cards is really useful.

When I went ot the NY Custom Knife Show, I had a small travel wallet (my Taxi Wallet) for most transactions. My Mission Wallet held knife, pen, and big bills for buying knives. Nobody there minded me pulling out a wallet with a knife in it :)

Before I got the Mission Wallet, I would also carry a small zippered cloth case, very similar in size and shape, with the bills and change and cards. I would pull it out to pay for something and people wouldn't see it as a wallet, and I could generally extract the right amount of money pretty quickly and surreptitiously. The Mission Wallet can be used with the knife side down, so no one has to see it.

Thanks as always guys!:D These started out as just something that I wanted for myself. As Sheldon stated, mail theft has been bad lately and another is en route . . . hopefully this one will make it!
I don't have stats on every knife that will or won't fit in them. I am currently carrying a Camillus talonite EDC in mine while waiting on my medium TNT to return from Tom. (Yep, medium TNTs fit fine) I think my good buddy dex carrys his BM 940 or 920 in his and I have several friends who tote small sebbies. There is a large size that Larry has some of as well. It also includes a belt loop and zips around one corner. (Due to customer requests) I carry one of the larger prototypes in my pack to keep pills, lighters, flashlight, etc. in. At the beginning of the year I hope to be able to make an arrangement with a leather worker in a smaller town to make these. I am glad you guys enjoy them!!
Thanks!
Jason

Sheldon keep your fingers crossed!!!

Hmmm...maybe I will be able to carry my 940 in it then...I'll have to give it a shot!

BTW, the larger size isn't available yet?

I have carried one daily now for almost six months. I have a Fisher Space Pen and a Leatherman Micra (with a fob) in mine.

I usually stick with Cordura Nylon products, since leather tends to fall apart on me. However, the Mission Wallet has held up pretty well so far. No problems with the zipper or stitching yet. I rarely open the zipper though, since I just carry small first aid supplies in there. Also, I have been careful not to overstretch the pockets. The leather has begun to wear through a bit around the edges, but nothing excessive yet.

Overall, it has been a good way to organize the small things in my pockets and well worth the price.

Also, here are a few more size notes - Benchmade MiniGriptilian 555, one or two layer SAKs, and LM Juice S2 will fit the small wallet. However, thick knives like the Juice really compress the pockets. And, you have to pay attention to not only the thickness of the knife from side-to-side, but also the width from spine side to edge side. It will not accommodate knives that are flat but wide.

Could someone please post the URL or link to a pic of this fine product. I'm in the market for a new wallet right now and this sounds like it just may make my Christmas wish list.

Is that the small version in the pic with the large TNT? I carry a large Seb, would it work with the small wallet, or would I need a large? What are the comparative sizes?

I picked my mission wallet up at the bladeshow in june. I use it everyday with a small sebenza. it has been white water rafting, at work running heavy equipment and generally not babied. I am also extremely tough on all sorts of stuff to do with walletts in general. I kill credit cards and liscenses on a regular basis- I guess if something as big as I am sat on me on a regular basis I would be hurtin too... Here is a picture of it with a small sebenza in it with a large sebenza under it
