I was directed to contact Buck regarding their "Missionary Program." I am friends with 7 couples who are going to Mozambique in the winter. I was speaking with one of them last night at a meeting after church about getting with them and suggesting some knife/tool purchases/acquisition before they tarvelled into the "rural" areas of Mozambique. I thought I would ask my fellow forumites about their suggestions regarding a fixed blade, folder and tool for them to take. I was going to try to find out what would be suggested as far as size and steel and someone mentioned that I contact Buck about their program of helping missionaries going into the field.
These couples are committing 10 years of their lives (and family's lives) to do God's work...and I thought the least I could do (besides pray and send money
) was to help them out with the knife side of things. I am a "knife-knut" so I thought I would do some homework...
Can anyone at Buck help me out on what this program is, what the costs are, what products are available and what I need to do to get enrolled in this program so I could suprise these people with some great tools to use while serving?
