This morning I took a hike to the Mississippi. The route taken use to be an island until levees were made.
The hike starts by going over a bridge to the island. The river is low. I fish these waters a lot.
My destination is about two miles past the trees.
This is normally a water foul paradise. There is not much water left.
Pecans
A little green but still good.
The destination about a mile wide.
A canoer enjoying the beautiful day
The cottonwoods grow big along the big river
On the way back I found a water hole
A heron overlooking the hole
Alot of dead fish in the dry beds
Buzzard sunning above dead fish
Todays knife
I need to replace my old 3 megapixel camera. Wildlife is usually to far away to get good pics.
