Anybody here from Missouri or at least is knowledgeable concerning MO knife laws? Specifically, I own a good quality sword cane and am trying to find out if it's legal to carry them.

Contacted my local Sheriff, no answer either way if it is considered a concealed weapon...got a blunt answer that they only deal with firearms permits. Have contacted the state Attorney General's office...no answer as of yet.

Any help would be appreciated!

Really. Are sword canes legal in any state? I doubt it. It likely falls under some 'carrying with intent' phrasing. Whether to defend or attack, it is still 'intent'.
... and if you decide to stride in style, don't get the mistaken notion that cops won't recognize it for what it is.

Chapter 571 of the Missouri Revised Statutes is the chapter relating to weapons. Were it me I would look myself rather than taking someone's word for it.

Switchblades and knuckles are a no-no, but they are covered under a different section of law. Many other weapons are allowed IF you have your concealed carry permit.

As far as "intent" goes, any deadly weapon would been seen as intent then, no?
