Mistake in the catalog or a new model?

I just received my e-mail with the mid-year catalogs and it appears that there is either a mistake or a new model.

The small WBC model is shown as a 503 Prince, but the picture looks more like the 055. I've never seen a 503 with a clip blade.

Is it a mistake or have they changed the blade shape on the 503? It even says "drop point" in the description..

I believe the 55 and 503 blade are pretty much interchangable in their respective frames. Its a good looking knife for sure.:

Edit: That says 503. Definately a clipped point and definately a straight/angled front bolster from a 503.

Would you forward that email to me??

Yeah, the bolster is different than the 55. Too bad in my opinion, I really like the drop point blade. I wish they had used the 500 though, instead of the little guy.

There was another WBC 503 that was made with a 55 blade a while back. I also wish they had used the actual 503 blade. The 503 with a 55 blade is an odd version. These new variations drive this collector nuts because it creates a new branch on the tree and makes it hard to display a homogenious collection.
