Open up the holes in the tang. A carbide bit will do it if it's already hard.I am new to knife making and while making my handle I drilled it in 1/4 inch when the knife has 3/16 inch holes. Do I need to but new handles or is 3/16 inch okay?
Buy a carbide 1/4” bit. Drill out the tang holes and buy some Brass or SS pin stock to fit.I am new to knife making and while making my handle I drilled it in 1/4 inch when the knife has 3/16 inch holes. Do I need to but new handles or is 3/16 inch okay?
That was my first thought....I have some corby bolts that are 3/16 in the middle, 1/4 heads? Maybe try that?
