Mistress: Sighted at the Grand Canyon

I just got back from spending a week "car camping" at the Mather campgrounds at the Grand Canyon with my family. Yet another chance to use my Mistress.

Here is my son, one of my daughters, and my Mistress. Doesn't this look like a ransom picture?

And here is a little carnage prepared for the night's fire.

Last trip of the summer but it was truely relaxing and good family fun.

Thanks guys. It was great fun. The great part was that it was almost deserted. I guess school already started for many kids (not mine) so that cut down on the congestion. The kids loved sleeping in a tent, camp fire, hiking, etc... We are trying to keep them active and not let them fall into the "video game" daze.

Note: on the last night I choped into one of the bundles and hit a nail that was used to hold the bundle of firewood together. It caused the Mistress to roll in a few places but was easily fixed when home. She did a great job on knots as well. I am glad I invested in this knife. It is really living up to its rep. Thanks again "Busse".
