Day after Easter and out to hike for the day. The woods were cold, drizzly, and full of a mist made for a Stephan King story.







With some snow melting it really kicked off the creeks and streams

Yesterday a woodpecker had picked a tree that had a wonderful sound box .What a nice sound as he pecked away !
I finally remembered from my early life in the cub scouts - pine cones make a great starter , no need for feather sticks. So now I'm collecting cones as it's still wood stove time !
