Thought I'd throw up some pics in the new forum. These are from the last 24 hours. Yesterday I took the boat out in the freshwater I live on, mostly just riding. I caught a few small catfish, and a few bream. I threw back all the bream that weren't bleeding. It was late when I got in, and time for supper, so I left the fish in the cooler. This morning I got up and took the truck driving down on the beach. I stopped at couple of different spots surf fishing and ended up keeping a flounder, whiting, and sailcat. I threw in some knife porn, and some critter pics. I missed the best stuff, a HUGE gator sliding off the hill yesterday and a bald eagle today. I just got home and cleaned all of them, nice little mess of fish. I love the tiny catfish, but hate cleaning them. There is a restaurant up the road that specializes in fried fingerling catfish and have an all you can eat deal. I destroy it when I go up there.

I carried my BRKT necker and a Skeletool in a pocket sheath. Nice little combo for fishing.

No wonder my allergies are blowing up, look at the pollen on the water.

One of today's spots. Nice to find a couple of miles of Florida beach WITH NO DAMN PEOPLE!

Eh, one of the truck. It's gear I guess.

That's a lot of Pelicans. In the background is a National Wildlife Refuge island. Some cool stuff over there. Freshwater, gators, eagles, etc. There are Red Wolves over there, the gov't traps them when they get old enough and relocate them up north somewhere. There are also Sambar deer, they have a draw hunt for them every year. Things are huge, I think they are some sort of elk. The dude that once owned that island had all sorts of animals put on it.

Little nightmares in the making. A little stingray and a baby shovelhead shark. I turned em both loose unharmed.

Beggar. Get a job!

Here is what I ended up with. I'll probably grill that flounder for supper tomorrow, and fry the rest, and hopefully some more, Saturday.

Damn I get sick of oregon and utah!
looks like a blast bud!!!
If your ever in the northwest let me know, oregon does have salmon fishing and I do have a boat!

Hell yeah man! Been to the Pacific Northwest, but never Oregon. If your ever down this way, it's open invite to you also.

Awesome pics, Thats one thing i always wanted to do is some ocean fishing. It looks like fun.

Great pics bro! Cool lil Bonnet head! As you know I was down in Flamingo last week! We must have caught over 200 fish in 2 1/2 days of fishing. Unfortunately most were trash fish! I did get a beauty of a Tripple tail, a few nice reds, Sea Trout, and landed a 6' Lemon shark on 20lb test! There were 100+ pound Tarpon everwhere, I hooked into a few but didn't land any. They proved to tuff for me and the light tackle we had! I was shocked that we didn't catch 1 snook:( Each day we fell 1 fish short of the Slam, but I did master the Trash can grand slam.....;)

Still a great trip, I am waiting for my cousin to send me some pics. I had some excellent pics as well as a video of the shark, but my camera dissappeared off the dock the last day:mad: I am still hopeful that it will turn up, wasn't an expensive camera, all I realy want are the pics and video in it..

I'm looking forward to the pics Tony! Sounds like yall got into them pretty good. Can't beat Triple Tail!!! I imagine that shark was a blast on light tackle. I hooked into about a four foot bull the other day on my lightest rod. Got him up right to the break before he straightened the hook.
Sucks about the camera, maybe it'll show. Did you get to do any paddling or camping?

I have a lost and found add in craigslist and also a missing item report with Everglades N.P., all I want are the pics back.. We camped 2 nights, and had the Tripple tail for dinner 1 of them. Delicious!!

The no see ums really busted me up, I still have hundreds of red bumps on my hands and neck from them..

We didn't do any paddling, but my cousin got a work out with the push pole. We had 30 mile an hour winds on Wednesday making fishing the flats really tuff, but we still had a good time.

Here is a pic from my cell phone cam of my cousin.
