mixing compounds v.2

I know I already asked about mixing diamond spray and chromium oxide before, but this is different.

I have diamond spray from two sources: a bottle of 1 micron monocrystalline diamond slurry from Hand American, and a bottle of 1 micron polycrystalline Blue Diamond spray from JapaneseKnifeSharpening. I realize by mixing them that a portal to an alternate universe won't magically burst open before me or that world hunger won't be cured, but it might still be a little interesting to me and some fellow sharpening fiends. Beyond the inevitable shoulder shrugs and answers of "nothing" this question is bound is elicit, does anyone have any ideas or thoughts about what might happen if I mix these two products for use on a leather strop? It's the mono and poly properties being combined that has me interested.

ONE MORE THING
I have two bare leather strops left. One is definitely dedicated to this Frankencompound I'm intent on whipping up. The other will be host for either 3 micron or 6 micron DMT Dia-paste. What doesn't get put on the leather strop will be used on MDF board. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience regarding which grit might perform better on those different surfaces? For example, maybe 6 micron is more appropriate for leather as its larger particles can embed themselves in the softer leather and still have enough exposed on top for honing or making contact with the knife edge? I know that's bordering on ridiculous, but I'm just trying demonstrate the general line or level of thinking that would justify this question.

You might see a faster cutting action because of all the diamonds mixed together but I doubt highly you will see a visual difference.

Using diamonds on a hard surface is different from leather, the diamonds will imbed further into the leather and create a finer finish. Using 6 micron on MDF then 3 on leather will work but take extra amounts of time. You would need to either use 6 on MDF then 6, 3, 1 on leather or use all three on MDF the finish with 1 on leather.

Play a bit with all three on MDF and leather, see the differences for yourself and you will know the proper method to use.

Instead of mixing the two bottles of expensive compound, why not just spray both onto your strop. You don't know what mixing will do and it can't be undone, but if you spray both onto the strop then you can get an idea of what it will do. I personally don't think you will notice any difference. Can you notice a difference now between the two on different strops? If not then I doubt you will notice a difference with them mixed. If one is significantly better than the other then I think you will see the same results of using only the better one. I don't think mixing them will be additive and make for a better result, I think you will get the same result as what the better will produce alone. It's worth a try but I don't think I would mix the bottles myself unless you just want one less bottle laying around.
