Does anyone know of any sources to find usn mk2 scabbards. I don't use eBay, I don't like using PayPal. I always check gunbrokers.com but have only found one so far. I feel there one of the best. Thanks for any help.

Gh. Jeepster I was looking for the fiberglass scabbards. I have a couple of those ones, there a step up from cardboard in my opinion.
If I get this right your looking for the WW2 MK2 scabbard. They haven't made any in almost 70 years as far as I can tell. The M8A1 reproduction scabbards won't fit the 1219C2 type blade. With out using eBay your almost stuck with gun shows, flea markets, and garage sales. You could also look into Gunbroker.com. many there take MO's.

Yea sac troop your right the ww2 usn mk2 ones. I have both of the modern kabar sheath a d there both shit. That's why I was hoping someone had a couples laying around or new someone who does. I posted my feelings and dislikes on this forum. Thanks anyway

But you're right that there's really nothing like a usn mk2 scabbard for the perfect compliment.

I do really think that there is a market out there for modern repros
Considering that the knife is very much in production and well liked.
I would be waiting in line should that happen in this lifetime...

Broker makes one for a ww2 style knife that's .mk2 size
Do you mean Boker? No, Boker does not make a Mark 2 sheath like the WWII issue knives for the Navy.

I found several at an antique shop for cheap. Ebay seems to be the best source but they usually command steep prices. IMO, the new Kabar hard heaths are much better than the ones from WWII for actual use. If you are merely collecting than yeah they are cool to have for that USN marked Mark 2.
