Mk VI or Shadow 4???

Can't decide which to get for normal camp type use. Bit concerned about how strong the very tip of the Mk VI will be versus the spearpoint of the Shadow IV. Really appreciate views from those that own either or both knives. Thanks.

I prefer fine tip of MK.VI

I used it A LOT (summer, winter) without any problem. Ever.

Thanks - I have already read those 2 great threads several times. It is just that I have not handled a spearpoint before - my Project 2 has the clip point and it is very fine at the tip; I even managed to roll it. I can see how the clip point is more useful for routine work though - I woudl not use the knife to dig so I guess shoudn't worry!

yeah I'd say unless you need the spearpoint, get the MkIV. The spearpoint blades are good at being really really tough while the drop/clip point is very very good at cutting.
