Hey, quick question for those of you who have an MKII custom watch.

When Mr. Yao says "lead time of 3-4 weeks" what does that mean?

Cause about 1.5 months ago i ordered a watch from him and he gave me an estimate of 3-4 weeks lead time.

I'm certainly not upset or impatient or anything of that sort. I'm just wondering how long on average it takes to build a custom watch?

I am so psyched! I can't wait for this thing to get here! ;)

thanks

I don't think the issue is how long it takes per watch, but how large his backlog is. Bill does a great job and his services are in extreme demand. I can assure you that the end result is well worth the wait.

Lead time of 3-4 weeks could mean it will be that long before he starts work on it, not how soon you will actually get it. At least, that would be my take on it.

I remember back then his turnaround time was a few days...
But, that was way back...
But seriously, he won't ship a watch unless he's satisfied with it, and his standards are much more stringent than any of our standards...

hey, I heard that there's this one knife company if Florida that has a 4 year waiting period... if that's true, then I think a few months for a precision instrument (like a watch) is reasonable.

WHOO!!!

i got an email from USPS "Click N Ship" with a message that says a package with my name on it, from William Yao, is on it's way! WOOT!
