I think I've got my image sharing sorted.
How is this?

Poor photos but they were taken a while ago.

It's supposed to be a compromise between metal and other material cutting. The teeth are nearly as wide as the spine but angular so they will bite into soft wood readily but I suspect hard wood would be a struggle.

Beautiful.
How did you come across a Mark VI with a sawback? I didn't know CRK ever made those.

hello MH, it's not a Mark VI with a sawback. It is a 7" Mark IV with a sawback. (see pic's) top - 7" Mark IV sawback, middle - 7" Mark V, bottom - 5.5" Mark VI. To also note the Mark IV sawback and the Mark V are discontinued models. Only the Mark VI is active.

Also, just for general information. CRK did two runs of a Special order custom made 5.5" Aviator knives, which is basically a 5.5" Mark VI with the added sawback. One run of 50 knives for Midwest Gun Exchange and the other run of 50 knives in Dark Green for TAD Wear. But it's labeled/marketed as a 5.5" Aviator. Shown in the pic below, in the middle.

Markwood, I am sorry if I steered your post away. I apologize and will remove if you would like.
best regards,

No problem at all. Any post with pictures of CR fixed blades makes me happy!

(Wish I had a MkV!)

Cheers
