I just received my MMHW 12 inch IGF. I am very please with it. Very well made and jast in the hand for such a large knife. I have a MMHW K-19 as well and its weight is much more noticable and not as fast in the hand.

On both knives the false edges are sharpen and both knives came very sharp.

Question to other MMHW owners - how do you fine the tip strenght ? My impressions on MMHW the knives are build to take hard work. Does anyone one have actual experiences with emphasis on point strength.

I've driven the point of my MMHW White River bowie into the side of a bigh hunk of pine as hard as I can and twisted and pried it out of the wood in various ways with no damage to the tip. That's not to say it can't be broken...

I tossed my White River Bowie into the hardwood floor the first day I got it - a hard pleasent thump and it sunk in good and deep! No problem at all- still needle sharp.
Stay Sharp,
