My JMD sheath came in from AZWELKE the other day. Ended up with a nice sort of partriotic combo without really meaning to

Al hooked up some battleship grey to go with the police blue on the B8 and the blood red on my RMD. Really pleased with how they all turned out. Thanks man!!

This is a great Pic, Thank you for sharing!

Thanks guys. I'm no photographer, but I thought the pic was post-worthy and turned out really well for being untouched off my cell phone. Guess I had the right light :)

*Full disclosure, the wood was not processed with the knives in the pic. I had been breaking in my new 1111, what a beast that one is :D

You CAD! 😰

Grandsuave knows how to make them sheaths.

Wow, this went over my head at first but I guess "Grandsuave" is Eric at Mashed Cat... Thanks for stomping my thread bro. :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

The funny part is that was one of my first stops when I went looking for pants for some of my kin. While I'm sure he's capable of making tacos, all he has listed are pancake-style, so I kept browsing and it turned out Welke had exactly what I was looking for.

No disrespect intended to any of the custom makers, there are a lot of great options out there, but I really don't need more than one sheath per blade and I'm not looking for any passive-aggressive sheathmaker turf war bs...

tinfoil hat timmy, to some members this could be seen as a "drive by posting". As a moderator who's seen his fair share of those types of posts, I'm one of them. There really was no reason to throw another sheathmaker's name on this thread as it was started to showcase one's personal sheaths by azwelke. Yes, Eric makes nice kydex sheaths. So does David Brown, azwelke, and at least a few other makers here, but this thread was about another member's azwelke sheaths and the way I read your comment, well it seems to leave room for interpretation, given the context. Please extend the same courtesies to other members that you would appreciate, if your roles were reversed and it was your thread.

This is for everyone: Respect your fellow members' threads, please. We're all Busse knife knuts here. :)

Thanks Jaxx.

I know this thread is pretty much dead in the water at this point, but to be clear, I'd have had no objection to someone posting "I like tacos, here is one of mine by XYZ" or even if there was some constructive criticism that someone wanted to offer, but I really don't know what the above was other than a drive-by.

Pretty sweet stuff there, sheaths looks great !!!!! I've never owned any of his kydex work, but I hear he does an especially good job with the resciprene handle blades. Anyway they look great ! Congrats !

Very cool and patriotic picture!

Thanks, and congrats, Al!
