Its almost 8 am here ND, temperature is 16, and I have my grill heating up outside as I type this. I never got a deer this year, but a friend got a doe with his muzzleloader on Sunday and told me I could have it. I'm going to grind most of it and make sausage, but I saved the backstraps for some grillin. And what will you use to cut these wonderful pieces of meat up? Well a Becker of course!!! More specifically the BK11 that showed up last week that the girlfriend doesn't know about(shhhhhhhh). She told me I better not order one, so of course I did. Now I think I may have one in a box under the tree that she bought me for Christmas. OOPS!! Oh well, the only thing better than one BK11 is two right?

Well, I didn't give them any backstrap, but I did let em lick the plate. My brother and I are going to make sausage right after new years. I'm thinking that I'm going to go with some polish with a bunch of garlic in it. It sounds really good right now.

The BK11 is cleaned and hidden away in the gun safe where she won't find it in the pile of other knives. ;)
