You can't buy just one. Eight days and five Mnandi's later I discovered this truth to be self evident. By next Friday I should have in hand: Boxwood Burl, Snakewood, Gabon Ebony, Cocobolo and a Mammoth Bark with Ladder Damascus in house. Pictures after they all arrive.
 
You can just buy one, but it's nice to be able to buy more. At one point I had two but currently only one old model in African Blackwood. I expect I will own more as money permits.

Congrats on you collection!

I agree. I sold the only one I had because the Mnandi is too small for me to comfortably use, but the siren call of those little gems still rings in my soul. I just wish they were bigger... I would own 4 or 5 by now if they were. :)

Please post them in the Mnandi Monday thread when you get them. Congrats on such fine choices.:thumbup:
 
Well you certainly destroyed my record of 3 new CRKs in a week. 😀

I don't love my Mnandi. It's my least favorite CRK design. I have very large hands, and while I can open the knife one-handed, it doesn't feel natural at all. The small size and lack of thumb studs makes for a bad combination, in my eyes.

I do love the ivory on it, though. It's a nice show piece, and a great dress knife for special occasions. I even had a custom pocket sheath made for it! I'll snap some pics and share them in the Mnandi Monday thread when it gets back from the spa.

I guess me not liking Potato chips or beer is why I haven't ever been to pull the trigger on one :p

Getting weaker and weaker though, as I almost snagged one here a few days ago, but was a few minutes late. Think I'll try to get one if I can find one with wood I like at a good price.

Sounds like you have some great one's coming. Look forward to the pics:thumbup:
 
The Mnandi with Mammoth Bark Ivory and Ladder Damascus Blade arrived and now I await a plain Mammoth Ivory with Bubble Damascus Blade.
