Just got my first Mnandi.....schweet!!!!! Cant believe I went this long without getting one of these. Anyway, I was wandering if anyone knew what the small hole drilled in the Ti is for? tooling hole perhaps? It makes a good center piece I think

That little hole (which is mirrored on the other side) is designed to accommodate a small peg-like bar that comes out of the clip to help keep it in place.

The Mnandi has replaced the small Sebenza as my favorite CRK. It's just he right size.

I really like the Mnandi. I got one a while ago in African Blackwood that I unfortuneatley had to sell. But, I just got another. I had sold everything else in search for my favorite pocketknife. I almost went with William Henry, but then decided I still really like the Mnandi. So, I got one with a snakewood inlay. It's gorgeous! It even came with a Reeve clafskin pouch! I'm just not sure I like Mr. Reeve's edge grinds. The edge on the Mnandi and Sebenza seem a bit wide and even wider on the curve of the blade. They are the most solidly built knives, and very aesthetically pleasing, and for the moment I can't think of a pocketknife I'd rather be carrying. I may find something at the guild show when I go this July, but for now this will do nicely. I wonder if I'd like the edge on one of the damascus blades better.

My Mnandi with an African Blackwood inlay is quite often in my pocket. To me it is the perfect "Gent" knife. I too had a WH and one time but it could not compare to my Mnandi so I traded it. I haven't missed it for one second.

I just got a Mnandi Blackwood... it now lives in my pocket :D . It replaces a WH T-10 BT, which is a great(!) knife too (and just a little easier to open with one hand). I like the slightly larger size, and that it sits deeper in the pocket. ;)

Yup, same for me. My small Sebenzas haven't seen much use since I got a Mnandi. I find a good carry combo to be a Mnandi and a large Sebenza; that covers just about everything.

I'll add my voice to the chorus. I've been EDC'ing my african blackwood mnandi for half a year and I consider it the ultimate gent's knife. I spent a good hour at the BAKCA last year deciding between the Mnandi and a William Henry. The Mnandi won out because I liked the elegance of the thumbnail recess over the stud and because of the incredible design of the clip. A great knife, and I wouldn't change a thing.... Except maybe get one with Mammoth ivory :D .

I bought a Dark Bocote that I am very pleased with and didn't have to wait, but I am still thinking about a Bark Mamoth Ivory.

I have a Mnandi with stabilized Redwood Burl inlays. My Mnandi is as perfect as a knife gets. Grinds are dead on, and blade is perfectly centered when closed. Lock up is just where it should be too. This Mnandi is one of my favorites(besides my Umfaan).

I have a Mnandi with snakewood and a G2 sheath for it. It's a really nice knife. A real jewel. One of my favorite dress carry's. The girlfreind even loves it.

I had a chance to meet Gary last week. A real nice guy. He explained the making on the back of my sheath. And we talked toys for a couple hours, had a great time.

Ok, of all the CRK knives I've owned, my new Mnandi is the first to have a blade that isn't perfectly centered when closed. It's off by a millimeter or less, but it bugs me. Should I bother sending it in to be adjusted?

If your Mnandi isn't perfect, send it in. From what I've seen, the CRK folks are picky about their QC and are not happy when a knife with even minor imperfections slips by. They'll make it good for you.

My first WH T-10 didn't have perfect grinds, and I sold it, my T-10BT does, but the blackwood Mnandi has classic looks :D . "old style, new execution.

Funny though, I had an Umfaan, but just found that the blade shape didn't work for me in that small size... . Beautiful knife, but just not me... :o I'm debating getting a small wood Sebbie to round out my set (along with Blackwood large classic). :D

Count me in as a huge fan. (It is all Danbo's fault :D.)

I have an afinity for classic multiblades, but my Mnandi sees a lot of carry time.
It is a tough little knife in an extreamly well thought out package, but what else would I expect. I have never been much on clips, but the ones on the Mnandi are the best execution of a clip design I have seen especially for fools like me that remove them at times. ;) To top that off when I do use the clip the knife is usually in a shirt pocket riding very unobtrusively.

I'll let you know tomorrow, when my african blackwood arrives!! :D Couldn't wait for the snakewood damascus I have on order so this will have to do for now...I ordered it after I saw a couple of pictures posted on this forum and I really like the looks of the blackwood-but can't wait for the snakewood too!!-Tony

I've was seriously thinking about getting a WH T-10 as my next "nice" knife, but I think I'll go for another Mandi instead. Blackwood or ebony would make a nice companion for my bocote inlay. :D Now I have a goal for later this year.

Any chance to see that G2 sheath for your Mnandi? I just got a Snakewood Mnandi, and was thinking about getting one. Gary doesn't have pics available.
Thanks! :)

PW, I got a T-10 about a year ago in a trade. I carried it a couple of times but it just didn't measure up to my Mnandi. It was gone within three weeks.

Came home from work last night and my African Blackwood Mnandi was waiting for me-what a great knife and a great look with the blackwood-I can't wait until my snakewood damascus arrives from CRK(probabaly in about 4 months!)-Tony
