Mnandi horizontal sheath

Who makes a nice horizontal carry belt sheath for the mnandi? Anyone willing to post a pic is greatly appreciated!

Edit: specifically looking for an open end friction fit type.

I haven't seen one but I have an EXCELLENT vertical sheath from Vess leather works ( G2 ). He's here on the forum and if anybody can make you a nice sheath it'll be him.

If you get it made please post some pics for the rest of us.

Me too! I'm working up to trying to make my own horizontal Mnandi sheath from light Kydex...but I'd rather pay somebody to do it if someone could be found.

Please excuse the less than stellar phone pics and realize that this has been worn quite a lot.




Needed the light to prop it up.





Vess' logo on the back.


It wears tight and pretty flat to the body.
He leaves just enough knife exposed to be able to pull it quickly and easily from the sheath and covers enough that I've never knocked the knife into anything while wearing it; I have knocked the sheath into a couple of door frames while in a hurry.

Really nice! I hadn't thought about it being pivot up. Is your clip removed?
 
Hi folks, just a quick note, that isn't one that I've made, it's made by a compatriot up in Canada way, goes by Vess, do a quick google search and you locate his site, on Blade Forums he goes by Vess but checking now it shows he's not been active for a while, but an email to him will sort that out quickly.

I have made a vertical sheath for that knife but I don't seem to have any images of it, sorry about that. My sheath would have a wrap around look with the stitching down the one side.

Nice knives though!

Those are nice sheaths. I'm thinking leather would be far easier on the knife than Kydex would be.
 
I have done a little emailing with Vess. He said he regularly sells his work on Ebay. The sheath above is available now. Just search for "Chris Reeve" and sort through the results. I'm going to pick one up sooner or later.

I just want a Kydex one to make it as minimal as possible. However, I've haven't owned a Kydex sheath before. Holsters only.

Sorry for the confusion on my end Gary, I received it as a gift and always thought that it was your work. I'll edit my post to change the name.
