I know it's not a current option but has Chris Reeve's ever produced a Mnandi with a black carbon fiber inlay?? I've got a large 21 and XM-18 with carbon fiber and I really like the way it sets the knife off.

I would love to see this as well. I think an all TI mnandi and a CF inlay mnandi would be home runs.

I have a CF Sebenza from Knifeart - it's awesome.

I have the Blade HQ large Sebenza with the CF inlays. I love it and would love a CF Mnandi. That would be a beautiful knife.

I know a lot of people hated it, but that diamond pattern carbon fiber that Spyderco used on the Domino might actually look really good on the Mnandi.

IMO, a carbon fiber inlay on a Mnandi is the exact opposite of the design (style) and intended use (environment) of the Mnandi. For the same reasons I don't want to see inlays on the 25...but I know they're coming. A carbon fiber inlay on a Mnandi would be "jumping the shark".

I understand your point, but I still think it would just be a next step. The mnandi is not dying anytime soon!

Actually, with the limited wood choices, and recent blade changes, all signs point to it being sent to pasture.

Actually, with the limited wood choices, and recent blade changes, all signs point to it being phased out.

Pesonally, I would love a CF Mnandi, simply for the fact that its the perfect knife to be thrown in the pocket without a sheath. I love my Mnandi, but MANY times I wished it wasnt in wood in fear of it getting mangled by other residing object in my pockets. So, having the Mnandi in a material that you do not mind being beat up would be a welcome change.

Interesting, the only thing I've ever seen beat up on a Mnandi is the exposed Titanium. I don't recall damage to wood scales as a result of being in a pocket. At least not overtly visible. It's normally the edges of the handles or blade that gets scratched up, not the scales. In any case, to each his own. I've got several knives in carbon, but would never buy one if it was on a Mnandi. Cragars look great on a Camaro, but not on a Porsche

Carbon fiber looks great on a Porsche, and would look ridiculous on a Camaro.

I'd take one with LSCF inlays. Barry H did a conversion on an Annual Sebenza and I think a similar conversion would look great on a Mnandi. Here's the link to the thread showing the Annual Sebenza I'm speaking of.
