Anyone managed to come up with a slick idea for a small, delicate lanyard on a Mnandi without a pocket clip? I'd like something about 1 to 2 inches long for pulling it out of my coin pocket.

I wonder if something very fine strung through the little holes that keep the new style clip in place would get sliced by the blade.

Any previous successful or failed ideas would be great.

You can wrap a lanyard round the stand off and use a tight fitting bead or knot to help keep it inside the fluting round the standoff and away from the tip of the blade. I can post a picture or two later on showing what I mean. :)

Pics would be great if it's not too much trouble. My poor little brain didn't think about doing it that way.

One of these days I have some questions about you Ti Mnandi too if you have time. I'm thinking on giving it a try on my own. Depending on the tooling necessary to do the quality of job that you did...it may be beyond my capability at the moment.

Thanks.

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about. You can wrap some thinner cord round the stand off to do something like this. 550 cord itself is too fat even with the guts pulled out but you can easily tie a fob or lanyard onto some fly fishing leader (as I used in this case). It's plenty strong enough for something like that. :)

Great idea Sir. I'm stealing it! :)

Thank you for taking the time to photograph it. Much appreciated.

If I can manage to make something I like I'll post a pic too.

I'm a leather type of guy and I just took a length of leather cord and ran it around the standoff. I made a loop and tied it off with a basic knot at the end. For the first day it caught in the blade once in a while but after that it just kind of stays in its groove. It's not fancy or flashy but functional.
