Hello, I'm new to CRK and I have the opportunity to pick up a NIB Mnandi in Lignum. The knife is dated 2005. The sell tells me that this is super rare and valued at $600. My goal is to get a small carbon insingo. My question is if I can get this in trade, would it be out of the question to get the $400 I'd need out of it? This isn't an attempt to curtail the "what's my knife worth" rule, I just don't know CRK values or rarities.

Thanks!

I am not sure I totally understand the question. I do know the knife you speak of though. It is beautiful.

I guess what I'm really asking is if this is a sound investment and is his valuation unfounded or are these actually rare and desirable due to the wood being on the endangered list. Sea turtles are endangered, but I have no interest in a turtle wallet.

Get a membership here, then we'll be able to advise you. The membership is well worth the money.

Great! OK, the LV. It's uncommon, but not rare yet. Not worth $600, maybe $400 is it's mint and complete. My $.02 worth.

Attachment not working...I agree that $600 is crazy. $350 give or take $25 if it's NIB.

Flipping knives to get to that one knife you want can be a long and trying path. To save gray hairs I have learned to just get the one I want. Haha...

You could always research the Mnandi. You may find that knife may be your grail instead of the small.

Nyefmakers site. I don't know if I can really say here. The seller originally asked everyone what they thought the value was. He then got a couple of responses, one was $600 and one at $425. I think it sold for $500. I'll PM you the site.

It was a guy on Instagram interested in my Troodon and cash. I think I saved myself the headache of trading to sell and buy.
