Mnandi, New Nail Nick date?

Greetings friends! What is the date of the changeover from the old style nail nick to the new style nail nick on the Mnandi? I did some searching and found sometime in summer 2012. But does anyone have a more specific date than that? Thank you!!
 
I might be wrong here....but I don't think there was a set date but more of a range. I have a November 2012 with the new nail nick.
 
It is difficult to pin point when the change was made. I have an April 2012 old nick, and a Sept. 2012 new nick. Both I bought new.....so I tend to think it was during Summerish.
 
I am willing to bet that we're talking about a range, rather than a bright-line cutoff date. :)

Throwing a related variable into the mix, how does the change in clips correlate to the nail nick change - earlier, later, more or less contemporaneous?
 
New clip and new pivot were introduced around end of 2011 to beginning of 2012.
New nail nick was introduced around middle of 2012.
 
Thanks. So, in theory, a Mnandi with the old clip should also have the old nick. Sometimes I'm not confident about judging the nail nick from poor pictures but the clip is easy.
 
I have a Cocobolo Mnandi that I bought new with new clip, old nick. Birthdate is 4/5/12.
Usually an old clip will mean old nick...but it's best to find out...I do know what you mean about judging if the nick is old or not.
