Mnandi query

Saw a '01 Mnandi with BG 42 steel today stamped 010, how do these compare to the newer models? Desirable, yea or nah?

I think they numbered the first 200, I think all the numbered models and prototypes had Ziricote inlays.

Depends, do you prefer BG-42 or S30V, do you like Ziricote as an inlay or prefer something else, and does a numbered run appeal to you or not? In knife collecting it is what you desire that matters, or should be.

If I did not have a numberd Mnandi I would seek one out, but I collect CRK folders. If I just wanted a really nice version of the knife I would probably go with Snakewood or Box Elder, with a stainless damascus blade, perhaps.
