Mnandi - Question about inlays

Have had a lareg Sebbie for years and thiking about getting a Mnandi.

I can't find a picture that shows how the inlay on the locking side remains fixed while the locking bar moves. Is the inlay fixed at each end and the locking bar then moves underneath it? Any issues about durability? Thanks.

The inlay is fixed for its entire length except, obviously, the part that covers the lock bar. It's very sturdy: I haven't experienced any problems with the durability of the inlay, nor have I heard of any problems of this kind.

I haven’t had any problems, and I can’t see why/how my Mnandis might ever have a problem.
