Mnandi Questions

I have purchased a Lacewood Inlay Mnandi from Arizona Custom Knives. It should arrive next week Tuesday.

With the clip removed can a fob or lanyard be tied onto the rear spacer pin? It appears to be close to the blade when closed.

Does the Mnandi come with a leather pouch? If not I believe the small Sebenza pouch would be a close fit?

You can tie something around it, but it'sa tight fit. Even something like thin leather will have marks on it because the blade does touch it when closed, and it will probably cut it sooner or later.
 
CRK makes a pouch for the mnandi. It is an add-on, unlike Umfaan where it is included. The clip is really unobtrusive and I might use it in place of the "lanyard" if I used the pouch. I've been meaning to order one, but haven't gotten around to it.:rolleyes:

Thanks for info on Mnandi sheath, I will call CRK today.

One of the new knife magazines has an article on the Mnandi and shows it with a leather fob tied in hangman's noose type knot. That is an interesting varation for CRK knives, I assume it was added by writer.

The Mnandis at $305.00 do not come with a pouch.

But the other ones, with Damascus Steel at $410.00 and up all come with a Leather pouch included.
