Just got this yesterday via the Brown Truck. Chris Reeve Mnandi with Tambotie scales and Devin Thomas Raindrop Stainless Steel Damascus. The photo does not do it justice, I've got to work on my technique. I had read that Tambotie wood is fragrant . . . it does indeed smell wonderful. Delicious scent, somewhere between sandalwood and camphor wood.

Never had Damascus / pattern welded steel before and I was VERY surprised that it shaved arm hair out of the box. Any pointers on keeping the edge for this type of steel wold be appreciated.

Workmanship is Chris Reeve all the way. Flawless fit and finish, secure lockup and just all around beautiful.

Happy Holidays to all!

Congratulations! Beautiful Mnandi.

I don't think there is anything special you need to do to keep the blade sharp. I treat the Devin Thomas stainless damascus blades the same way I treat my S30V Mnandi blade.

It looks like a nice knife, from what I can tell from such a tiny picture.
