How thick is the blade?

Are the handle slabs significantly thinner than a small Seb's?

Thanks!

The Mnandi blade and handle slabs seem to be about half of the small Sebenza. This is just my seat of the pants estimate by comparing the two side by side.

I find myself using my Mnandi more and more. I find that it is quite the nice little cutter and a very sturdy one at that. It's not tank-like like the Sebenza, but a very capable knife. I'm liking mine more and more.:)  ;) :p

Thanks Scott.

I might be trading into one and I wanted to know what to expect. Not that I doubted the quality of a CR product.

I'm more of a fixed-blade/tanklike-folder kinda guy, but the incredibly light weight and elegant appearance of the Mnandi is definitely appealing. It will be nice to have something to carry at work that won't make people run for cover when I open my mail.

Believe it or not, my small Sebenza has gotten negative attention.

Ahh, sheeple. :D

RF,

The Mnandi is a very solid folder that is not really so little as much as it is slim. At 1.25oz or so, it is the easiest carry - rivaled by few such as the BM Ozzie gents knife, or the William Henry line. Much more solid than a William Henry IMO.

Cuts like the dickens too - very sharp out of the box. With a little practice, it can be opened one-handed also. Get this knife and you will not regret it. The low profile size and good looks of the wood inlays will probably not raised a single eyebrow when you open it.

I love my Mnandi so much, I am anxiously awaiting this weeked, so I can pick up my second one(redwood burl). My current ebony handled Mnandi has lost it's razor sharp, hair popping edge from use, but still slices through a steak like nobody's business, due to being so thinnly ground!
