Moab blade lengths??

Either wild mushrooms wound up in my spaghetti last night or the moab has come in different lengths.. I always thought the moab had a 14.25" blade.. but I'm seeing pics of the 1311 (13.5" blade) right next to a moab and the blades look identical from grip to tip.. what's the deal?

I wish I had a MOAB to measure. :(

Here are specs from Jerry almost exactly 9 years ago:

I know there have been thinner MOABs, but I'm not sure about different lengths.

My 1311 measures as follows: blade length = 13 3/8", overall = 18 1/2".

If the two knives in the photo you saw were different distances from the camera, this will distort their lengths.
 
14.25 on mine. This one was a Blade 09 offering.

On bad mojo ot has a Jerry quite from when the Moab was just an idea.. an Jerry mentioned the moab having a 13.5" blade.. but I guess he came to his senses an went 14+ "

Awhile ago I did some searching about the MOAB, and here is the earliest thread I found:

(it mentions a 13" blade length). I'm glad he went to 14.25" as well, and thicker too at .40".

A BG MOAB would be a much more affordable version of the MOAB in SR101 steel.
Some are hoping for a new release of the INFI MOAB.
Others would like to see a MOAB blade with a Basic Res C handle (a HOG B14).
I personally would like to see an exact copy of the MOAB in .40-.41" thick SR101, and the same blade with a Basic Res C handle. :)
 
Probably be the most expensive SR 101 blade yet, I would guess 897.00 for that thick and all the specs

*** 2200.00 for MOABs years ago probably 2597.00 now so about 35% of that 900.00 ish based on WTF logic ***

But yep it would be cool :)
