Mobil 1 for oiling folders??

Do any of you use Mobil 1 synthetic oil for your folding knives? I know several people that use it for guns.
 
I use some synthetic Mobil 1 and Royal Purple ATF for bearing lube but not on folders. Personally for folders I prefer fluorinated grease.
 
I wouldn't use something like car oil, I only use food grade lubes now.

I use frog lube on my knives and guns. It's food safe and lubes and protects better than anything I've ever used. I've used nano oil, militec, mineral oil and tuff glide. None are as good as frog lube, and none are food safe (except min oil).

You can buy a 4 ounce jar of paste that will last you probably a lifetime for knives. It even smells good too:D
 
Frog lube is good stuff. Use it on knives or guns. I heat my blade up with a hair dryer and then brush some on. Flows into all the right spots. Blues Bender is right...has that good minty aroma.
