Mobile version of Bladeforums?

Hey

Any plans for a mobile version of Bladeforums? I dont know how many visiting this site are on their mobiles, but im one of those that check up on the forums quite abit when im on the go.

Britishblades.com have a low-res simple mobile version that automatically shows up when on a phone, though it dosent look very nice.

I mean, BF shows up pretty good on Opera mini and dosent take a long time to load but when on a regular browser like Nokia's standard browser it takes abit to load and uses quite abit of data consumption.

I dont know squat about websites and how to make them and something tells me its not that simple, but it could be nice if there was mobile version of my fav forum!

There are some mods around for vBulletin to make it mobile friendly but Kevin probably has better things to do with his time than fiddle around with those I suspect.

You can go to the vBulletin forums and read up on it if you like.

Wow...I mean Wow...It defaults to the beginning of BF...I looked at the Buck MFG's Forum; the first post is Kevin's welcome msg to Buck...in 1999!!!

OK, how do I get it to default to the latest msgs???

That does seem to work...but it seems counter-intuitive, to go into the archives to find the last post...

Same here, I have a T-Mobile G-1 and everything looks like my computer screen....just smaller It's actually what I use when I'm away from home or spending a weekend with my family. Otherwise I'd go crazy not being able to log in for 2-3 days

I think all newer mobiles have a built-in browser that shows bladeforums as if it was on a regular computer.
And if not you can always install opera mini. That browser works great with almost all sites.
