There is a model one, with commado shaped ivory handle,
on KnifeAuctions. It doesn't look quite as I expected
for a forties knife. The blade stamp looks odd to me.

Is it just a poor photo? Can anyone else get a better
look? It is advertised as an one owner knife, with the
original owner still living. I haven't seen many knives
from the forties and would appreciate a more learned opinion
of the knife and sheath.

Thank you.

The picture quality looks poor but from what I can see the knife looks right. I will try to get more info and let you know.

...I think the knife looks like a legit early 50's RMK based on the spacers, hilt, and choil...

The sheath looks a little odd to me...a replacement maybe? I'm not all that familiar with the 'Southern Saddlery' sheaths...

After reading TAH's post, I'm going back to my original position..., or close to it...late, late 40's, or early, early 50's...arrgghh, I'm so cornfused!

I say it's an early 50s as well according to spacers and blade shape. Can't see the type of exposed nut and the sheath isn't riveted at the throat. Apparently, they discontinued the rivets in mid 1949. Hello Mel!
