Does anyone have any info on these knives from MOD? I've got the itch for a new toy and saw these the other day and was curious what you guys think of them. I am tired of emerson, and want a blade that is utility( drop point, clip point, spear point). I like there sere 2000, and saw these and they caught my eye. I also like the Gerber Spectre, but not sure on that one either. Just looking for some input.
 
I just made a post about the new MODs' about a week ago. Lots of comments but no one had one yet. I'm especially curious about the plunge lock on these models. I hpoe to hear more soon.
 
Let me make this easy for everyone, this is by far the biggest POS to ever come out of a top quality company.It is an insult to all of us and I for one was so disapointed that I didn't know what to say.I know this sounds harsh but you really have to take my word for it. If your going to spend that kind of money(about $100.00) you will be much better off with a MT UDT.
 
ouch!!! What were the specific problems? Did you buy one or just look it over? Not questioning the validity of your appraisal (anyone who has an RJ Martin chef's knife is seriously into their cutlery) but its basis.
 
I was thinking the same, and thanks for the info. I am not fond of zytel handles anyway. Just needed someone to push me over the edge.
 
Yes by all means I did buy one.It is no better than a $25.00 taiwan knife you get on BladeAuction.The spring is a little wire stretching from the bottom to the top and slung around a small pully. The same exact setup as the Benchmark Sidewinder but the sidewinder was considerably better. Dont get me wrong I love MOD knives but this particular one was a BIG mistake as well as an insult to any knife collector's intellegance. As most of you know I am a real straight shooter and always try to look out for all of your best interests.I am lucky enough to have a few great friends as dealers and I ALWAYS get the new toys.This was the worst of the worst! JMHO !!
 
I can hardly believe it. If it's true, that was a huge mistake on MOD's part. Oh, well.
