Just received my first ever MOD knife after literally years of lusting! When I saw I had quite a large package waiting at home for me, I had no idea it was this as the box was so huge!
Anyway, first impressions are WOW! Just from looking at the box you can tell this is a serious tool, and opening it reveals my own holy grail
The knife has a nice weight to it, being fairly heavy but not so much that it would be a down side.
Picking it up, you immediately notice the texture of the grip scales. The closest I can come to describing the material is crushed diamond. It definitely offers more grip than even my old fave, G10.
Opening the blade, it is obvious why the pros choose these. When locked into place, it has a superb military look to it. Just holding it makes me feel kinda special
Closing is the most impressive to me. Where many knives have quite a snap at the last part of the action, this has a very soft, quiet click. Closing it faster gives a very solid sound that I can't even begin to describe, but definitely screams absolute quality.
Tactical and professional are definitely two of the most commonly used words when it comes to describing knives, but this is the first one I have owned that actually lives up to both.
Overall, it is a beautifully made knife and I really can see what all the fuss was about!
