MOD CQD Mark I Type E - Want to remove off seatbelt cutter.

Recently got a MOD CQD Mark I Type E. It's a sturdy/solid knife but with the seatbelt cutter on the end it makes it too big/long. I was wondering if anyone has ever moded theirs by removing the blades in the frame and dremel off the back part. I could try to reuse on of the screws from the very back that get tossed with the belt cutter if I drill out a hole and insert.

Thoughts?

Have you tought about getting the MOD CQD Mark II? Has basically the same features as the I without the seatbelt cutter....
