Can anyone give me the up and up on the Masters of Defense
CQD Mark V ATAC Fighter? What's the cheapest I can
get it for and is it worth the high price tag? Oh, and can
active military personnel assigned to Iraq get a
good discount?

Thanks!

Cheapest I could find is from http://www.snapberry.com/ . ~$207

It is only worth the high price tag if you will be fighting in extremely close quarters and taking/controlling prisoners.

AFAIK, Duane Dieter designed the knife to provide decent capabilities as a utility knife, as well as provide a wide range of force-control options for extreme close quarters combat. Utility-wise, the butt could be used for hammering, and the pointy guards for prying. Tactically, however, the butt and pointy guards also allow the user more options for persuading a prisoner to comply without actually stabbing or cleaving the bastard. The pommel can be used for impact strikes. The guards could be used for small joint manipulation or piercing and trapping techniques (like a meat hook).

It is a very specialized tool that very few people will probably ever need.
