This looks to be a beautifully built great looking knife. Has tried one yet, and if so what did you think?
It seems that MOD do not get much mention on this forum. Any thoughts on why?

I think - just me thinking again - oh no - that the MOD Deiter auto hasn't received much talk on the subject is it was anounced as being available or many people were led to believe it was available so long ago that by now many of us have sort of given up on it as ever going to actually exist. Also the manual version is listed at a retail price of $335 in my book and that leaves me shuddering to think what the auto version is going to sell for when it doesn't actually seem to have that many obvious features which would warrant such a price. You asked...I say it like I see it. Sure you can cut seatbelts with the handle, but in the half century I have been in operation on this planet, I haven't once had the need to cut a seat belt and figure if I ever really DO need to, I have a lot of other blades that will do the same a lot cheaper.

The knife that I am looking at has a retail price of $239.95 on the M.O.D. web site. It is the smaller version of the the one you mentioned. Instead of the line cutter it has a carbide window breaker, which looks like it could be used on pressure points if need be. Considering what I see the large Deiter Selling for, this knife should be around $190.00. Maybe not that bad of a deal considering how well made it looks.
