This may not be a popular thing to say, but I like my new MOD Tempest better than the MT Socum.


1) The size is between Socum and Mini Socum with a 3 1/2 inch blade, it fits better and has a very good feel.

2)The clip is either tip up or tip down carry. I prefer tip up.

3)Sharp out of the box. As a work blade it is very usable.

4)It is good and tight. Once oiled and the pivot screw adjusted it opens easier with a push of the thumb. I have a Socum and mini that I am not sure they will ever have a comfortable flick.
