Anyone have experience with the Master of Defenese Nightwing. Looks good I just want to know if it can stand up to real use or is it just for looks?

Check out the MOD Nightedge too, it's the same knife just different steel: "1085-C high carbon tool steel". It costs less than the Nightwing, it's $149.99 at Blackhawk. I like the serrated spine/reinforced tip design, but I haven't handled either one yet.

I think the nightwing is a no nonsense knife. It was designed by Allen Elishewitz and I own the Mark V fixed blade and I must say it is brutal! The only problem I found with the Mark V is that the knife is quite thick and didn't cut as well as I expected.

I really like the design of the knife, but they don't offer the one I want. I want a night edge or night wing with a plain main edge and seratted spine...it doesn't come that way dammit!!!!!!! I really dislike serations on my main edge, but I would dearly love to have them on the spine for rope and such. I wonder why the heck they put serations on the main blade when the spine was already fully serated? If they would get rid of the main blade serations, I would buy two instantly.

They offered the Nightwing in different edge configurations.

But the Nightedge only comes with Combo main edge and serrated back edge... :(

I'd also love a version with plain main edge and serrated back edge.

I think the problem is that you are asking about a dedicated "fighter" knife.

Realistically, how many people have ever needed or used a "fighter" for this purpose? Regarding "stand up for real use", -do you mean you want feedback from people who have used this knife in more than one combat experience?
