Is it common practice to excise posts from threads. I see that my post in the Great Lakes Waterjet thread was removed prior to shutting the thread down. Is no criticism allowed? Are the perenial bashers a protected group on this site?

It can be when the poster fails to read or heed moderator instruction..... or we can close the thread.
Did you honestly think your contribution to that thread was helpful?

If you are not involved in this situation do not post.

Does this answer your question?

As helpfull, if not more, than the 50 folks who where beating upon a deceased horse. Come on, bashing is definitely encouraged on this site. Just see how many mods kick the corpse in most of these threads. The internet version of the Jerry Springer show. What say you?

I agree that any poster that has had similar experiences with the OP in the GB&U forum have value added. The rest of these keyboard jockeys that say "Wow, I was just ready to hit the purchase key for member ABC when I read this", do you folks actually believe all those posts? I would like to give you all more credit than that.

You have to be kidding me!

80% of the posts had nothing to do with the thread other than to say "Stone Him"!

Your particular post was okay but didn't really add anything to this situation. I had to remove three others that were posted with yours and after I asked for persons not involved to not post.

This is exactly why I asked for people not to post who were not involved.
