There is a 50% sale at my usual knife dealer, and he has the Masters of Defense Trident and Hornet left. Which one of those should I get and why? (I may buy both, but this month only one)!
I already have the Tempest, which is rock-solid.

Having only seen pictures, here's what I can offer:

The Hornet (The Keating piece?) looks to me to be a small version of the Tempest, which you have. The Trident looks like a wicked utility blade with a strong spear point. Go with the spear. Again, this is my advice not having even seen these blades in real life.

I've been thinking of getting a Trident too. It has the coolest blade style of any MOD knife, IMO.

Trident. The spearpoint is the most useful of blade shapes IME. The finger groove, slightly dropped butt, and the partial file work on the blades spine allows for the hand to lock in when grasping in the saber grip. Of course, it is a tip down carry as well.

I have all the MODS the hornet is a super little knife very strong good handle detail nice rubber inlay The trident is my favorite hands down it is much bigger has a great blade shape handles have a rubber inlay for good griping nice strong blade with a small false edge i have the serated auto model i use it all the time it is pretty much my EDC just thre right size and weight

Would this be an online or catalog dealer, by any chance, that you could share with the rest of us? I'd say the hornet, but then, I've never handled a trident, so if you can handle the knives, pick the one that fits you.

I have both and would highly recommend either, but if it has to be one, I'd go for the Trident now.

It is an extremely rugged utility knife. Very well made with real good QC, fit and finish.

Gee..I hate to feel like I'm jumping on the bandwagon but I'd have to agree with the above. I bought a Trident last week and it's a great little knife. It's smaller than I expected it to be but still a handy carry piece. I bought the serrated model with the grey blade, I've been told that MOD is discontinuing that blade finish so if it appeals to you you'd better pick one up soon or you'll be stuck with black.

It can be seen in Swedish pages only.

(Jag kann ju tala lite svenska, men de andra här...)

Oh, and one thing, Thomas: Do you happen to know if those prices are with or without discount?
For example MT Kestrel 2774SEK?
May be a silly question :o , but I have no idea about their's regular price level...

Current exchange rate is about 10:1. I.e.- $100 US dollars tranlates to 1000SEK. Never knew Fallkniven sold other knives!
