sorry the thumbnails are not working for me, but here are the links

I picked up a MOD Trident recently, and wanted to post some pictures of it, compared to the Benchmade Stryker so anyone who may be interested in purchasing a MOD knife can get an idea of the company.

Here's a few various pictures

The knife itself seems very solid. There are no problems with lock up movement. The lock mechanism is a Liner Lock, which you should be able to see in the picture below. The liner lock appears to be very sufficient as it covers more of the open blade than the Benchmade Stryker. I feel comfortable using both knives, but believe the MOD lock feels stronger.

I like the handles, as they appear to be metal themselves. The grips on this particular knife are very nice... Its not as extreme as the MOD ATFK knife, but its a pretty good compromise, and the grips themselves are rubberized and fairly coarse. I don't I don't think there would be any major grip issues in a somewhat wet environment. The grips would stand up better than the Stryker, in my oppinion.

Construction and workmanship on the knife is very nice, and I don't see any apparent problems with knicks or finishing issues (so if anything shows in the picture, it might be from lighting). The knife edge was razor sharp, and it passed both the Arm Shaving Test, and the Push Paper Test without any problems. To tell you the truth, I think this knife may be sharper than any Spyderco I have ever purchased, or atleast on par with them.

Here are a few comparison shots of the knife, so you can get an idea of size compared to the few other knives I had lying around.

From top- Spyderco Civilian, Benchmade Stryker (old model), MOD Trident, Emerson Karambit.
-You can see that the Benchmade Stryker is just a hair longer overall than the Trident.

On the next 3 pictures, the Benchmade is the top knife, and the MOD is the bottom knife.

I'll post some more observations at a later time.
