oh well i have been here a a year or so...
i picked up on defenation of 'troll' but
there seems to be moere then one deffention... any full explnation welcome
but not much else have i learned as a NO NO like -
what is ment by hi jackeing a thread?
and what are some of the other things that are impolite to do ?
jest wandering ...kinda sorta dont want to step on others feelings u know...

...Dave..."Hijacking a thread" is merely going "off-topic" from the original topic of the thread and changing it to a topic you've chosen instead of starting your own thread. A "Troll" is someone who comes into a thread and tries to cause or get a reaction from others in the thread. Usually it's something they say that might cause some kind of controversy or bad feelings among the people in the thread...Hope that helps friend...:)

Thread drift, or hijacking a thread is one of the things I was thinking about with the "useless" threads. Sorta figure that every now and again, we need one so we can just babble incoherently about whatever without walking on someones title line.

Evening Dave!!! you better get on down to Florida. I hear theres a rare bird down there so take a good pair of binocs... A double tipped red-breast.

Now thats hijacking a thread. :D
 
:eek: ...LMAO...The rodent knows how to "hijack" if anyone does...and a FINE job of "hijackin' " that was too...jus' gotta find that "bird" now...heh heh heh...:D
 
10/4 on teh dubble tiped red breast yea that has been seen near springs and salt water.... naw i am not allowed by wife to bird watch with out her at all...
trying to get back but on hold tell her cancer is treated and removed so it is likely november before we get back...
but here we almost had to turn on heater, at least got out the blankets... low in the 60's a few days and high of 74.... like march in fla...
yea i miss the place and worry as i did not tape the windows...
yep need to have a cupa joe and grilled cuben...

I told mine that If I ever gave up bird watching, I would probably give up a lot of other things at same time.... Now she points them out !! :D :D :thumbup: :cool:
 
...The weather should be fine when ya do get here Dave...It sounds better where you are right now than it is here too...It's mid 90's day time mid 70's night time...Hot and Humid...Don't worry 'bout yer place jus' take care of that lady...:)
 
ya know i rember my mom doing jest that to my dad... after she pased his 2ed jest dont understand bird watching as neather does mine and she was one fo momms friends and know mom did that jest not the same but i will keep her as long as god lets me have her...
now bunch of my texas friends compare horse rump pro and cons for jumpers , runners and cutters its forquters you know.....
 
...LOL...the "jumpers" around these parts do have very noticable "hind-quarters" too...:p
