Well, here are the first mods I have tried out. I was thinking maybe a finer polish, it's a satin finish for now. Also jimping, stippled and sanded the handle a bit. I am surprised at the amount of grip that it added.

Nice work. That stippling must have taken some time. Have seen others do it as well. I don't have that kind of patience, haha. looks like you got your jimping straight too. that's not an easy task.

Thanks, it took a bit, you can see which side I spent less time on. I will end up adding some in on the side that is lightly stipled and I have to touch up the jimping a little too, but that's just me being particular. Thanks for the compliments.

Great job on the scales, and wow, I really need to add jimping to my 14 yours look very useful. Keep it up, NJ!

Yep, dremel with round cutting ball for stiping on scales and cutting wheel going slow for the jimping for the thumb so as to not raise the heat. To keep the lines straight I kept the drum of the dremel in line with the tang with a finger between the two and just rocked it straight down onto the blade using my finger as a pivot.

Becker's would still be good knives if you couldn't remove the scales. But being able to move them. Gives you the ability to make it fully yours.

nicely done. That's the cleanest stippling job I can recall.

btw, you couldn't heat up the bk2 enough to hurt it with a dremel on the spine. there's just too much steel there, and you'd have to go past 500F to even consider worrying.

I know with a cutting blade you can blue the steel by keeping the blade cranked and I didnt want to test it. I know it wouldn't do much overall to it, but still...
Going to be touching up the stippling and jimping tonight, possibly adding some small touches that have been bouncing around in my noggin.

Thanks for the compliments.

Very nice work...... You are right, I think to keep it cool....... On over heat in a small area can lead to stresses some times...... BTW that is my favorite style of stipple..... Minimal hot spots and pretty secure.....Lovely.....

Thank you for the kind words, and from The Man himself. We are able to do these mods because you have created such a stable and user friendly canvas.
She is in my vice as we speak, more pics to come.
