Spent the last few days playing around in the shop with a couple beakers my BK-2 and my BK-14.
Stripped their coatings gave them a satin finish and a fresh mustard patina. I also made a set of G10 handle slabs for the BK14 to make it more of a bushcraft knife. Still need to smooth some things out and make some micarta scales for the BK2 but here are a few shots of the pair. They also got a matching set of kydex sheaths so the 14BK2 can ride piggy back:)

I like the overall shape of the 14's G10! And nice patinas as well...do u have pics of the sheaths?

Them are purdy! Mind if I do some hard core multi-year testing on that 14?

Mmmm hmmm, I like, I like! Did the same to my 2 a couple months ago... held the pattern very well with moderate use.

Thanks guys I will try to snap a couple pic of the sheaths soon. The bk2 has been my favorite for a while but this took it to the next level. Great pair for the bush only thing is I have to keep them oiled constantly with everything so wet here is Washington. Used this pair for a three day survival trip in december and can't wait to bring the new improved versions out this summer!

Love the patina on that 14. Mustard is the best. Well do an awesome job of adding some blue, but for solid lines mustard takes the cake.
