Anybody have a pair of customized stock scales that they don't use anymore? I am thinking about grabbing another BK5 instead of selling this nice sheath I have for it. I will possibly strip this new one as well.

If you don't have any, could you make suggestions as to what works as far as increasing grippiness using only a drill with basic to small bit sizes?

Some easy/popular ones ones are putting bike inner tube over the handle. You can usually get old ones for free from a bike shop

Or you can wrap it in tennis racket tape. Some people also like to spray them with bed liner

Stippling usually involves a small-tip soldering iron.
I suppose you could use a drill bit but it'll take quite a bit of practice (or a lot of luck) to get it right.

Don't need a drill. Power tools just let you make mistakes faster. ;)

A nail, awl, or icepick will work just as well. Just need to rough up the handle a bit.

I hit a set of mine lightly with 80 grit sandpaper.

Eh. Not sure what I'm going to do, but bed-liner spray and round files are on my list if I should visit a hardware store. Thank you all for the ideas.
