Hey all,

I like fixed blades, particularly military and survival type blades. I also like Bowie blades too. Heck, who am I kidding...I like 'em all. That said I always enjoy seeing pics of knives that you guys take and make them personal to your style or particular uses.

So...how about showing off your creativity and handi-work with your modded knives?

Lets see some pics!!

Thanks all for your time.

I wish I had the skills to modify a knife. The most I've done is polish the blade haha. That and rebevel.

All it takes is time and practice. Buy some cheaper knives at first. Kershaw Skyline comes to mind and in folders, the Ontario Rat 1 or 2. Take them apart. Get some PCB etchant from Radio Shack, a plastic dish and acid wash a blade. Buy some cheap ceramic tile at the local Home Depot or Lowes. Break into pieces. Add the blade with a little WD40 into a big plastic coffee can. Add the lid and tape it up well with duct tape. Shake it and roll it around for about an hour. Voila! Stone washed blade.

Go to youtube and watch the videos. You'll figure out how to get started on the cheap. Before you know it, you'll be pimpin' $200.00 Spydercos and Emersons and completely modifying your BK2.
